Chris: while the P-C crowd is busily erasing names from universities, stadia, and other places where behavior from the past does not conform to modern fashion, shall the campaign extend to former Supreme Court Justice – and “liberal” icon – Hugo Black? In his early career, he was a member of the Ku Klux Klan. Shall his opinions be exorcised from published court cases? Will his votes on cases be reversed so that their outcomes will not be stained by his bigotry? Will lawyers who cite any of his writings be disbarred for invoking “hate” into their practices? Or will his name be incorporated, by reference, into the modern P-C slogan “Black Lives Matter?”
It is interesting – albeit not always pleasant – to watch a civilization collapse. When the decline and fall comes, just make certain you are not standing beneath an institution!
