Who’s More Sympathetic to Drug Addicts?

According to former Bush speechwriter Michael Gerson, Ron Paul is cruelly unsympathetic to drug addicts because he doesn’t want to lock them up in cages.

Of course Gerson’s argument has all the sophistication and disingenousness of a George W. Bush speech. Ron Paul wasn’t mocking drug addicts during the recent debate, as Gerson alleges; he was mocking drug warriors. And for laughs be sure to read through the end to see Gerson contrast the evil Ron Paul with that model of concern for the less fortunate, Bush.
