Karen: I suspect the FTC may also try to figure out a way to put the demonized Wal-Mart out of business. With major, unionized corporations declaring bankruptcy and/or suffering losses at a time when non-union Wal-Mart is reporting quarterly profits, action must be taken! Think of the consequences of the world’s largest retailer continuing to prosper without suffering the heightened costs of operation that accompany unionization! It would be so politically incorrect to have Wal-Mart’s policies seen as an alternative to the collective mismanagement of so many other businesses. If the economy is going down the tubes, we must all go together, must we not? Isn’t this what “equality” is all about?
