I am so tired watching the television bobble-heads trying to analyze what the Pope meant by his comments on “capitalism.” In fact, I am weary of hearing anyone pontificate on the topic who does not have a clear understanding of the difference between the “marketplace” and the “business system.” This is particularly annoying when the confusion is heard on “business” oriented programs. Perhaps free-market, private property, anti-state libertarians ought to help inform others that the corporate-state manipulations of our economic life and the spontaneous and autonomous order of the marketplace are as irreconcilable as peaceful forms of warfare!
