So, Newt Gingrich wants the US to have a permanent base on the moon. Makes sense since, after all, the US already occupies most of the planet. John McCain, who is campaigning for Mitt Romney, wants Gingrich to go to the moon. We can only hope that Gingrich takes McCain with him, and perhaps Romney and Santorum too. Hey, why not send all the Republicans who want to start more wars on the earth. Send them to the moon where they can’t hurt anybody.

Update: A reader suggested a more suitable place than the moon: Uranus.
