Featured on the Drudgereport today is this Washington Times article about a great new piece of scholarship to be published soon by a young scholar named Phil Magness. Dr. Magness, who holds a Ph.D. from George Mason University, discovered in the British version of the National Archives Lincoln’s plans to deport as many of the freed slaves as possible, and he was working on it until his very last days.
The standard excuse/propaganda line from the Lincoln cultists is that Lincoln only talked about “colonization,” and that he abandoned the idea altogether in 1863. Dr. Magness and his British co-author prove this to be unequivocally wrong.
