The head of the Highway Patrol, a Col. Davenport, had explained that Trooper Gardener “felt threatened and acted reasonably.”
Well, that announced to the world that, to Utah’s finest, the irrational is rational. Down is up.
No way did Davenport’s superiors want a trial where the evidence of a coverup would be painstakingly examined.
My guess is, the police in Utah won’t let those videos out any more. So much for “transparency.”
