USPS Cuts Back

A news report informs us that, later this year, the Post Office will stop delivering mail on Saturdays, a move designed to offset income declines.  Hmmmm. I don’t expect that any of the marketplace firms (e.g., FedEx, UPS, DHS, etc.) will be cutting back on their services.  Nor are we likely to see Internet activity reduced (perhaps just the contrary).

This partial solution to the USPS bankruptcy may provide a solution to the more extensive bankruptcy of the federal government. Perhaps the ever-increasing costs of government could be reduced by cutting back on Saturday warfare!  If that’s not enough, perhaps Sunday killings could be added and, if this works, Monday and subsequent weekdays of combat could be eliminated as well.

I suspect that the establishment geniuses will give no attention to this rather obvious cost-cutting proposal.  They are more likely to go ahead with the $10 trillion platinum coin solution!  Along these lines, I remain willing to give the U.S. government my $100 trillion Zimbabwe currency that will more than cover the national debt. To show my generosity, the feds can keep the change!
