Two Questions

For all those on the right who think U.S. military spending is currently inadequate because it’s not the same portion of gross domestic product that it was in the 1940s and 1950s (and that such high levels of spending could bolster the economy), I have two questions:

1) That spending was supported by 91 per-cent marginal tax rates on the wealthiest Americans. Are you willing to return to those as well?

2) In the 1940s at least, that spending was also coupled with very strict wage and price controls. Are you willing to return to those as well?
