Karen for a brood-free Denzel Washington performance check out Training Day. Washington plays a corrupt cop who believes that because he enforces the law, and protects people from criminals, he should be able to bend or break the rules whenever he chooses. After all, without him the city would descend into anarchy and decent people would be at the mercy of (non-state licensed) criminals. In my not so humble opinion, Washington well-deserved the academy award for his performance. Training Day also features a fine performance from Ethan Hawke as the young cop Washington is “training.”

Training Day is one of the most powerful and chilling portrayals of the corruption of power available. However, it is rated R for a good reason, stay away from it if your bothered by profanity, drug use, or violence, and DO NOT WATCH THIS ONE WITH THE KIDS.
