Totalitarian-Minded “Libertarians”

Brian Kilmeade’s interview with Ron Paul on Faux News last week exposed the phoniness of so-called “cosmopolitan libertarians” who do not support Ron, they say, because he is not a cultural leftist like them. Kilmeade thought he would Bushwack Ron by asking him about the Las Vegas brothel owner who has donated to his campaign. Ron’s response was (slightly paraphrasing): “I’m for freedom, but I don’t care what people do with their freedom.” (Unless of course they abuse it by committing aggressive acts against others).

So there you have it: Ron Paul is for a free society; “cosmopolitan libertarians” are not, unless everyone can agree that their lifestyle is the only acceptable lifestyle. They would prefer that ALL Americans continue to be enslaved by a Leviathan state run by Hillary Clinton or Rudy Giuliani rather than have a culturally conservative libertarian, who would never lift a finger to interfere in their own “lifestyles,” as president. They are totalitarian-minded “libertarians” who have resorted to the grossest form of libelous smears, such as the ridiculous notion that when Ron Paul talks about states’ rights and federalism he is secretly sending “signals” to the KKK and their Nazi buddies (Steve Horwitz is the author of this particular smear). Talk about conspiracy theory nuts.
