Why is it that we hear nothing about the fact that subsidizing housing is subsidizing a larger “carbon footprint”? That is, the Bizarro Moses (after extinguishing a self-immolating Bush, he leads us by teleprompter to a desert from a once-promising land), with unreported irony, directs that we drive “green” vehicles to and from our mortgage-modified-tax-credited/deductible house. A house is, of course, the overwhelmingly largest contributing item to any “carbon footprint” calculation.

Lew, I’m not making any judgment concerning “global warming”, but rather a judgment about “journalism”. Why is this not discussed: I ask with Socratic irony?
