Too Bad Newt Doesn’t Really Believe What He’s Saying

Writing in Human Events (a publication far removed from what it used to be), Newt Gingrich defends the right to bear arms as a “human right” that people all over the world should have.

Too bad Newt doesn’t really believe what he’s saying. First, as to the United States. Gingrich talks about the Second Amendment, but does he think that all federal gun laws violate it? Of course not. He believes in “reasonable” (Republican approved) federal laws that infringe on the right to bear arms. And second, as to other countries. Gingrich talks about everyone on the planet having the right to ” defend themselves from those who would oppress them, exploit them, harm them, or kill them.” Does he think that foreigners are justified in fighting back against U.S. soldiers who have invaded and occupied their country? Of course not. U.S. soldiers are defending our freedoms by oppressing, exploiting, harming, and killing foreigners.

I know I have said this before, but Gingrich is the most despicable of all the Republican presidential candidates. And why are conservatives so upset with Romney? There is really no difference between Romney and Gingrich or Santorum.
