Thoughts on Bundy

Writes Kathleen Sheridan:

One thing I keep thinking about this whole business is how U.S. forces waged war against the native populations of the mid-west and western part of this country to conquer them, take their land, and give it to “settlers.”  Maybe Mr. Bundy and his ancestors had no direct involvement in that, but I cannot help but think in this context that, “What goes around, comes around, Mr. Bundy—and you’re just feeling the brunt of it.”

The British did the same to Ireland, and those people now living in the six counties of northern Ireland who pledge their allegiance to that criminal government can trace their ancestry to “settlers” who came to occupy stolen land.  And still do.
