Thought Crimes in Russia

Tens of millions were sent to the Soviet Gulag for having dissenting views on Stalin’s conduct. Apparently it’s going to happen again: Russians who question the official Soviet view of World War II–how it came about, how it was fought, and what the results were–will be fined and jailed for up to five years. Expect to see similar laws promoted in this country as part of the totalitarian powergrab since the pols’ favorite day, 9-11. Since the lies of official history cannot stand up to scrutiny, and since they are essential to state rule, the pols will seek to criminalize historical dissent. (Thanks to David Kramer)
