As I was watching the CNN interview with Ron Paul, I am curious as to why the Democrats have not tried to recruit him into their party. After all, the Democrats claim to support peace and individual liberties, and there is no member in Congress who outdoes Dr. Paul in these categories.

Furthermore, Democrats claim that they do support having pro-life people in their party, or at least are not as hostile to them as they used to be. Therefore, I am throwing out this question, as I am curious as to why Democrats have not recruited him.
