The Wheeler Tribute to Rothbard

Writes John Galvin: “This article by Jack Wheeler is one of the best things I’ve seen in a long time. Sure, he gets a couple points wrong, but consider his basic point: the bulk of the most influential conservatives, especially all those considered to have any integrity and who have proven themselves capable of real thought, are swinging over into Lew Rockwell territory and that the philosopher with the most influence over the past couple decades was not Leo Strauss, but Murray Rothbard! Who could ask for any greater tribute? If you ignore his ad hominem assaults which no reasonable person would condescend to consider, I think you can take this as one of the most conclusive demonstrations of your influence ever published. We can only hope that he be proved right in his predictions of a growing groundswell of what he simplistically terms ‘anti-Americanism’ which he says ‘is seeping into the entire conservative movement and is threatening to splinter it into pieces.'”
