The Vindication of Ron Paul

Ron Smith of WBAL Radio in Baltimore correctly notes that the “Tea Party” movement was founded by a Ron Paul money bomb event on the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party in 2007.  He also writes of how the recent elections have vindicated Ron’s criticisms of statism run amok.  One quibble I have with Ron, however, is his use of the word “quirky” to describe Ron Paul’s well-informed opinions that the Fed has destablized rather than stabilized the economy over the past century; that we can’t indiscriminately bomb foreign countries and murder their citizens without expecting blowback;  that the absurdly named “PATRIOT” Act eviscerated civil liberties, etc.  “Speaking truth to power” would be more accurate.
