The Treason of the Intellectuals

Christopher Hedges is an enigma. When he is great, he is truly great; when is wrong-headed, he is merely pedestrian and clichéd in his error. His latest article, “The Treason of the Intellectuals,” sounded all the right notes (especially the sound chastising of faux “liberals” and their abhorrent militarism – poor Richard Cobden must be rolling in his grave since 9/11). Hedges’ tie in to Julien Benda was especially impressive and showed tremendous insight.
