The Tea Party Patriots bill themselves as the largest Tea Party organization in the country. Newt Gingrich won the Tea Party Patriots presidential straw poll on January 30 with 35 percent of the vote. Ron Paul came in last with 11 percent of the vote. Who cares what percentage Santorum and Romney received. The fact that from the beginning polls always showed over 50 percent of Tea Party people to have a favorable view of George W. Bush means the movement was doomed from the start.
