The Sun Never Sets…

Just listening to BBC World Service headlines on the ferry disaster off the Arab Gulf island kingdom of Bahrain.

At least 44 people have died after a passenger ferry sank off the coast of Bahrain in the Gulf, officials and witnesses have said.

More than 50 people have been rescued from the ferry that had up to 150 people on board, including foreign tourists, they said.

The incident happened late on Thursday as the vessel was on an evening cruise in the Gulf.

The BBC interviewed a US Navy spokesman, who said a US Coast Guard cutter was assisting with rescue efforts.

Okay, I know a fair amount of geography, but I’m a little confused, and wasn’t aware the US had an American coast to guard in the Arab Gulf. Could someone please point it out to me?
