The Sun Down

Writes C.J. Maloney: “From my hometown (NYC) based New York Sun. And my reply to the editors regarding it:

“I grant the New York Sun that Ron Paul has not shown any traction among the voters polled by the traditional, land line telephone based methodologies used by the major polling firms. This leads me to ask, how accurate are the polls if a man can crush his Republican opponents in fund raising ability (money, mind you, which is donated by individuals, not by special interest groups and corporations looking for handouts of Other Peoples’ Money), has won almost every Republican straw poll, and has won every post-debate poll in 2007, yet still poll at only 5%?

“Only time will tell (when the actual voting begins) but methinks it is the polls which are flawed, not the man.

“Ron Paul and those who support him, like those who oppose him, has our nation’s best interest in mind. He believes, as our Founders did, that foreign entanglements and endless war are not only a foolish way to spread freedom abroad, but a danger to our liberty at home. I believe the Patriot Act has proven his fears well founded.

“I am a 38 year old New Yorker, and in my life I have known nothing but endless war, endless price inflation, and endless encroachments on the freedom my parents and grandparents handed down to me. I am weary of it. All Ron Paul is saying is give peace a chance.

“Peace is something we as a nation have not tried in my lifetime – I believe it’s high time we did so.

“And nobody, mind you, has called my Republican Party registered cell phone to ask my voting intentions.”
