The State vs. Jerked Chicken

Karen: How representative of what the English have become. From a nation that produced such libertarian minds as John Locke and John Stuart Mill and that most liberating epoch of human history, the Industrial Revolution, the collapse into the thinking of Winston Churchill and Tony Blair is all the more pathetic.

On the other hand, perhaps the state officials were less interested in protecting school children than in defending the government schools’ role. In putting “jerk chicken” into the marketplace, the statists may have seen too much of a competitive threat to the system designed to produce “jerk children.”
