Obama: Pay No Attention to Unofficial News Sources

Obama told college graduates on Saturday that the current media environment “bombards us with all kinds of content and exposes us to all kinds of arguments [can’t have that], some of which don’t always rank all that high on the truth meter” (that is, which tell the truth and expose his lies). “With iPods and iPads and Xboxes and PlayStations — none of which I know how to work [in the 2008 campaign, he claimed to have an iPod] — information becomes a distraction, a diversion” (that is, you can learn things the government wants covered up). “Some of the craziest claims can quickly claim traction” — he does not, btw, mean the crazy claim that Iraq or Afghanistan or Iran must be destroyed, that people’s nude bodies must be photographed in airports, etc. “All of this is…putting new pressures on our country [the state] and on our democracy [the regime].” Darn right, and let’s keep it up.
