It’s been a bad month for the Lincoln Cult, which is celebrating Dishonest Abe’s birthday today. First it was revealed that the author of a book that argued that Lincoln was such a sweet, gentle little angel that he pardoned nearly all deserters was revealed by the National Archives to be a forger. Then it was announced that an important new book by British and American historians proves that Lincoln was busy to his dying day planning on deporting as many of the freed slaves as possible to achieve his dream of an all-white society. This book will forever change the image of Dishonest Abe and will discredit the Lincoln cult.
