The Secret Service Acts as a Law unto Itself: And People Are Shocked?

The modern experiment in Progressivism in which people in the “law enforcement” sector, be they police, judges, and prosecutors, are given huge amounts of “immunity” seems to have run its course. Progressives believed that people in those lines of work, as long as they had good “training,” would act in a “professional” manner, as they operated under the “good intentions” of “protecting” everyone else.

We see where that has led, with prosecutorial, police, and judicial misconduct being the norm. The latest “scandal” involves Secret Service agents first in Colombia and now Martha’s Vineyard. Of course, people are shocked, SHOCKED that people whose job it is to bully everyone who might get near the president and others in his family and government might act as though they were untouchable. Yet, what other outcome can we expect?
