The Roots of American Exceptionalism . . .

are found in men and women who have been conditioned to have no sense of individual purpose or meaning, and who are willing to identify themselves with the collective as a substitute. Such is the mindset of the kamikaze pilot – of whatever nation – who deludes himself with the belief that when he gets blown to pieces on the battlefield on behalf of the state, he is sharing in the “exceptional” nature of the system. The boobs who help train their children to embrace “service” in the military as something noble, do so out of a perverted sense of “love” for a fiction that can survive only for so long as people are prepared to share in this depraved belief.
