Writes Elizabeth Higgs: “I took my kids yesterday across Lake Pontchartrain to the big easy to see Ron Paul speak at a rally at the Airport Hilton. The Paulines (my fave) were out in full force. There were a few hundred people there (more than 1,200 came out in Baton Rouge!) and we gave him a big ‘Who Dat?’ welcome. He seemed to love it.
“The local news people were there to cover the event and my kids were on the evening news!
“Here is a picture of my son, John Allen Hunley, who will be 12 on Wednesday, meeting Ron Paul. He is working on his National Citizenship badge in Boy Scouts so this was the perfect event for him. He really got into it!“Ron Paul says that he wants us to have FUN with this. Well, I for one am having the time of my life.
“When you are around Ron Paul, you really start to believe that this train ain’t gonna stop for nobody! No one has stopped him yet.
“Am I fooling myself? Bob would say, emphatically, yes, yes, and again yes. But, you know, MLK wasn’t the only one with a dream.”
