The President Who Can Do No Wrong

Regarding Jeff’s blog below about Marvin Olasky’s belief that the born again are superior to the “once-born” Christians, one line of Olasky’s article screams out at you: “Do we want a president that pretends he can do no wrong and never has?”

Am I reading this correctly? Isn’t this an EXACT description of George W. Bush? Isn’t HE the one who belives eveything he does is ordained by God and is therefore beyond anyone’s questioning? Isn’t HE the one who has NEVER ONCE admitted to having made ANY mistakes or misjudgements about Iraq?

Olasky has provided the Kerry campaign with a great punch line. He has also given them a picture of the adminstration as some of the maddest religionists to enter politics since the conquering New England Puritans described the death of 620,000 Americans as “the glory of the coming of the Lord.”
