I followed this story all day on CNBC. The pilot, Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, who has dedicated his life to being a stud pilot, performed a remarkable feat. I had told a friend of mine … you wait and see … I bet the guy who landed that thing is some 60-ish guy with a zillion years of experience.
To add to Butler’s point, I caught on to the “terrorism references” also. In fact, this MSNBC article states, “In a city still wounded from the aerial attack on the World Trade Center, authorities were quick to assure the public that terrorism wasn’t involved.” Yet just a few hours later, it was George Bush, in his farewell speech, who assured the American public that it was he who kept us all “safe” these last seven years, along with the Dept. of Homeland Security, the military, the CIA, and the FBI.
Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger kept people truly safe, and alive, thanks to his dedication to his career and training.9:21 pm on January 15, 2009 Email Karen De Coster
