In order to feel good about themselves, politicos who perpetuate disastrous political policies come out with the canard of the nobodies. Examples include “Nobody thought the internet bubble would burst,” “Nobody predicted the Iraq War would be a disaster,” and my personal favorite, “Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!”
Today, Barney Frank is quoted in the Boston Herald:
“in 2003, nobody that I knew of foresaw the crisis of subprime lending, and that is what caused this problem.”
That’s right, in the eyes of the criminal class, Ron Paul is nobody. Here is the heroic Dr. Paul on the House floor on September 10, 2003.
