The Murdered Were Ignored

Lew, the closing statement in your recent post, “the murdered were ignored,” highlights a terrible truth that those who “support the troops” need to realize. If Afghans were murdered, then those who killed them are murderers, deserving of contempt, not support. It doesn’t matter if the U.S. soldier who pulled the trigger didn’t want to go to Afghanistan, doesn’t support the war there, is only obeying orders, is only killing in self-defense, only joined the military to get money for college, couldn’t find a another job, or any of the other excuses that have been given by defenders of U.S. soldiers. Is it murder or isn’t it? It is.
