The money trap

Spitzer was found out via one of the most horrid, odious, and totalitarian methods of the U.S. State, one which is no doubt worse than anything available to Hitler, Stalin, or Castro. This is how banks snoop on anyone and everyone who either withdraws more than $3,000 in cash at a time or has a pattern of cash withdrawals. “The suspicious financial activity was initially reported by a bank to the IRS which, under direction from the Justice Department, brought in the FBI’s Public Corruption Squad.”

In many respects, such as this bank snooping on behalf of the Feds and the way that taxes are extracted from our paychecks, the U.S. is far worse than many totalitarian countries.

Now, if Spitzer had bought some gold coin and used that, maybe he could have washed his money. His was not a criminal enough mind (or too naive) to have thought of a way to wash the money.
