The money primary

Ron Paul is now winning the money primary. He should clear $15 million for the quarter, at least. (Yes, I’ll bet on it.)

Not only does he have the funds to compete with those who wish to give the nation a third George Bush term–more likely the first of two Hillary terms–but it occurs to me that with Rudy particularly, some of these guys may run out of money!

Rudy has already tapped out the fat cats and party hacks. With serious talk he might drop out, I wonder how much money is coming in these days.

And he has a huge overhead besides. He has to pay guys used to exorbitant political class-type salaries.

Will mounting scandals and cash flow problems force Rudy out of the race?
