As David noted, the media is reporting on how climate change is now something that the DoD is fighting. I just heard a general being interviewed on NPR, where he stated that the DoD could lead by example by continuing to build environmentally friendly buildings and such. I have a better idea – bring the troops home, stop the bombs and destruction and flying/shipping soldiers and military contractors overseas. If there’s any way that the federal government can actively impact carbon emissions and pollution, this is a guaranteed slam dunk.
