The Jeffersonian NY Constitution of 1846

The Jeffersonians still had power in NY in 1846 and that year banned gifts of state funds to private corporations. See this article, a PDF.

Remnants of the same clause remain today and I’ve been retained to file suit to end the widespread handout of tax money to private corporations—possibly two billion dollars a year.

In the Buffalo News article today, the Hamiltonians respond by essentially saying, “Taking your money by force and giving it to wealthy private corporations is good for you, even if you’re too stupid to know it.”

I’ll keep you posted.
