As someone who advocates a restoration of ‘To Anacreon in Heaven,’ I have not been deeply involved in the controversy over a Spanish translation of the ‘Star-Spangled Banner.’ But the name, ‘Nuestra Himno,’ reminds me once again that the government always describes its song to itself in religious terms.
