The Glorification of War

Writes Chris:

Hey, Lew, I just wanted to send you this quick email. Im a 23-year-old Army Veteran, served in Afghanistan, Germany, Italy. I recently got to see you speak in Tampa at the Ron Paul Convention, which I really enjoyed. As a matter of fact I sent you a message afterwards, thanking you for speaking. Recently came across your interview on Alex Jones. I can’t thank you enough for emphasizing, at the beginning of it, how much the glorification of warfare plays into the Gun Control issue. The culture is what influenced me to join the military originally, which is terribly difficult to deal with in my life today. So many things in our society today poison a child’s brain, from war movies to video games and praising soldiers/police. It’s important to note that I’m not advocating removal of freedoms, but the mechanism of intake is overwhelming when one is growing up. Anyway, just wanted to share this with you. Please keep mentioning that glorification of war is one of the root causes of all the world’s issues today. You are one of the few that mentions that publicly, most tend to shy away from saying it outright. Thanks, Lew!
