The Fascist Music Industry Strikes Again

A woman downloaded uploaded 24 songs. She now has to pay $1.92 million.  Yes, the primary evil is intellectual property laws and the state. But no respectable company would accept such a decision.

In the future, I hope to see these businesses go the way of the newspapers. If without statist support to prop up their intellectual monopoly they cannot survive, they do not deserve to. Let artists and their fans connect to each other directly, as technology is allowing more and more, and so we can see the death of this dinosaur industry based on bullying both the talent and the consumers.

UPDATE: A reader points out she uploaded, not just downloaded, the songs. I made the edit above.
