From Ron Paul’s Statement of Faith: “My faith is a deeply private issue to me, and I don’t speak on it in great detail during my speeches because I want to avoid any appearance of exploiting it for political gain.”

Contrast that statement with Rick Perry, who put on a day long prayer and fasting fest, which he would have us believe it had everything to do with his faith and nothing to do with his future announcement of running for a political office.
