I’m rooting for the Democrats, as rotten as they are and not that I think they’ll win, for this reason, as noted by Ralph Raico: they have significant pro-peace and pro-civil liberties constituencies. The Republicans are uniformly (with the heroic and lonely exception of Ron Paul) for torture, the prison camp, and the nuke.
