Lew: I wonder if the management at “Newspeak” has any suspicion that its state of ill-health might be due to a growing unwillingness of readers to support the kind of nonsense that equates a government-dominated and directed economic system with laissez-faire capitalism! If intelligent minds choose to take their news-seeking inquiries elsewhere – such as to the Internet – will such refusal to continue subscribing to foolish thinking be treated as yet another “failure of capitalism?” Will we soon be treated to the spectacle of a Newspeak editorial demanding a congressional bailout to rescue this publication from its own shortcomings; a move, perhaps, to be defended in the name of “preserving the First Amendment freedom of the press?”
