The Deafening Silence of Anti-Bush Wars Liberal Actors

Here’s a list from an organization called “We Will Oppose Obama as Long as He Supports War.” Do you see George Clooney’s name on the list? How about Janeane Garofalo? Sean Penn? Barbra Streisand? Don’t you think that if one of those vocal anti-Bush Wars liberal actors had signed this list, his or her name would have appeared below? Of course, there’s a possibility they’ve never heard of this. But I’ve never heard any of them condemn Obama’s wars. (Though to her credit, Streisand did come out against Obama’s 40,000 troop surge in Afghanistan—but nothing since then.) I do see some familiar non-show business liberal names such as Daniel Ellsberg, Rabbi Michael Lerner, and Cynthia McKinney. But where’s the Hollywood outrage? [Thanks to Angela Keaton]
