The Collapse of Feudalism in Massachusetts?

It has been amusing, if nothing else, to witness the statists of the “liberal” franchise wringing their collective hands over the outcome of today’s vote in Massachusetts. The seat up for vote is continuously referred to as “Teddy Kennedy’s seat,” as though it was part of a family birthright. One might have thought that the seat belonged to the electorate of Massachusetts, to be filled by whomever a plurality of voters chose to occupy it. But, no, it was TEDDY’S seat!

Perhaps, consistent with the feudal mindset of the statists, we should acknowledge ownership of this seat to have belonged to Teddy. After all, the rest of the governmental machinery in America is owned and controlled by other members of the institutional-elite — with the boobeoisie allowed to stand outside the gates and observe their comings and goings. As such, the seat should be included in Teddy’s estate, to be devised according to the wishes stated in his will…If he was silent on the subject, his seat would pass by intestacy to his closest family heir. This is as it should be in any feudal system. Perhaps it is to the executor of his estate — not the rabble — to whom we should look for the fate of this senate seat!

And what of all this prattle about the Democrats losing control of the Senate should this seat go to a Republican? Is “New-Math,” alone, to blame for the belief that a 59-41 majority deprives the Democrats of “control” of this body?

Frankly, it won’t bother me to have the Democratic candidate prevail in this one. The dysfunctional and destructive nature of our politically-directed lives has been a bi-partisan undertaking, the consequences of which are as unavoidable as a terminal emphysema patient’s continuing habit of smoking. When the decline-and-fall of this system occurs, I want the more vigorous and robust champions of state-collectivism to clearly be in power in all branches of government. The effort of the media to convince Boobus that the loss of this one seat will reflect a shift in power to the Republicans may impress the mathematically-challenged, whose numbers help to account for the financial catastrophe in which we are awash. I don’t want there to be any doubt as to who is running the circus when the big tent collapses!
