The Blockhead Party

My local congressman, Republican empty suit (and head) Mike Rogers, voted for the bailout. Here’s his Democratic opponent’s utterly off-point, dumb-guy response.

My blog comment will never see the light of day over there (where no one would ever see it anyway), so here’s what I wrote:

“What a wimpy response. With three tinkerings of the language, Segall would apparently have supported the bailout. And to think ‘deregulation’ caused it! How about (just for starters) the implicit guarantees to Fannie and Freddie that they wouldn’t be allowed to fail? You think that might have had a teensy weensy bit to do with the levels of risk banks were willing to take?”
