Supporters of liberty quite often get discouraged at the seeming lack of progress. The State’s measures, old and new, are visible. Our efforts are less visible. They are inside people’s heads, for one thing. We are eroding the foundations of the empire merely by shining a light on them, but the erosion is beneath the surface. The drop in support and respect for the empire is not visible to all yet. As an example, I quote an e-mail (with permission) of a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps in regard to my blog on whether we owe our freedom to the Marines:
“Dr. Rozeff: I completely agree with you. Your article was bang on. A year or two ago, I would have been one of those Marines that were offended by your point of view. I have since been enlightened, thanks to LRC and its champions of liberty such as yourself, from whom I learn every day. Just wanted to let you know that even some Marines are beginning to see the light.”
