Electricity has long been used as a tool of torture. How fitting, then, that the police state has adapted it for use as a compliance tool. While reading this article in Wired on our Taser Nation, this one statement immediately caught my eye.
“There is so much controversy because [the Taser] has conquered the market so rapidly,” said Steve Tuttle, vice president of communications for Taser International. “It’s a revolution in law enforcement. And with revolution comes pain.”
The nutcase Tuttle, a guy who boasts about selling a tool of torture and death, is quite capable of producing memorable quotes. Like a good neighbor, Taser International is there.
I can think of another revolution that will also bring a lot of pain.
