Tales From the Darkside

There is a dark side to American military policy that most persons will not confront and acknowledge.  Criminal aggression, ruthlessness, and torture are not aberrations or breakdowns of the American State, but are absolutely endemic to it.   Two of my favorite authors, Robert Parry and Peter Dale Scott, sketch this hidden history and the horrific reality of “deep politics” at its core.  An excellent follow-up  book I recommend is Alfred W. McCoy’s Policing America Empire: The United States, the Philippines, and the Rise of the Surveillance State.
