This morning, I turned on one of the cable TV news channels and saw video of many people – most of them young men – demonstrating/protesting in the streets, with a strong presence of local police. I was informed that the pictures were from Tehran, with people reacting to the outcome of recent elections there. I recalled similar scenes, from a few days back, in Los Angeles, as Laker fans – or so I was told – celebrating a just won NBA championship. Los Angeles police were also busy arresting young male  rioters. But might superficial appearances be misleading? Gosh! What if the Los Angeles demonstrators were not Laker fans, but disgruntled Orlando Magic fans who were angry over the outcome of the NBA playoffs? Enquiring minds want to know!
