Steyn on Immigration

Writes R.J. Stove:

Mark Steyn, in Chicago’s Sun-Times, is starting to sound a leeeeetle bit like, say, VDARE – at least, on the topic of immigration. Thanks to Pat Buchanan’s American Cause for alerting me to this piece.

Having liked Steyn’s prose for years but having simultaneously thought of him in terms of Jean Cocteau’s immortal self-description “I know how far I can go too far,” I shall be interested to see if his stirring and witty comments portend real action.

Incidentally a number of LRC Motownophiles were rightly angered by my recent American Conservative slip of the word-processor, through which I typed “Temptations” when, of course, I should have typed “Miracles.” Somehow nobody – neither Amcon editorial staff, nor I – spotted my error at the proofs stage. Mea culpa.
